SMARTUNIFIER 1.10.x introduces new capabilities and improvements across industrial connectivity, performance, monitoring, deployment, and platform management.

A Modern Technology Foundation: Java 21 and Angular 19

SMARTUNIFIER 1.10 upgrades its technology to Java 21 and Angular 19, providing a modern foundation for continued platform development. Additional improvements include UTC-based channel state-change timestamps, UUID-based environment variables, and several UI and logging enhancements.

More Flexible Industrial MQTT Connectivity

A new MQTT Client provides greater configuration flexibility, including wildcard support for subscribing to multiple MQTT topics more efficiently. Additional improvements strengthen the handling of MQTT messages and support more robust industrial data exchange.

OPC UA Event Support for Industrial Data Integration

SMARTUNIFIER 1.10 expands its OPC UA connectivity with support for OPC UA events, enabling event-driven information to be integrated into broader industrial data flows and IT/OT architectures.

Improved Performance Through Channel Configuration Caching

SMARTUNIFIER 1.10.1 introduces channel configuration caching, reducing unnecessary configuration processing and improving efficiency when managing multiple communication channels and integration instances.

New Metrics API for Better Monitoring

A new Metrics API for instance states makes it easier to integrate SMARTUNIFIER with existing monitoring and observability solutions, providing teams with greater visibility into their industrial integration environments.

More Control Over Deployments

New startup types for instances and endpoints provide greater flexibility when managing deployed components. SMARTUNIFIER 1.10.2 also extends bulk undeployment with the option to retain instance logs, supporting troubleshooting and operational analysis.

Improved Backup and Restore

Backup and restore workflows have been enhanced to provide administrators with greater control and reliability. Improvements include more flexible table restoration and correct reinitialization of deployment endpoints following a backup restore.

More Flexible Data Mapping & REST Integration

SMARTUNIFIER 1.10 expands its data transformation capabilities with enhancements to mapping, type conversion, and logging. The REST Server also gains additional flexibility for handling complex list variables.

Reliability and Usability Improvements

The SMARTUNIFIER 1.10.x release series also includes multiple fixes and usability improvements across MQTT handling, deployment, device types, agent states, environment variables, logging, and the user interface.

SMARTUNIFIER Support & End-of-Life Policy

IMPORTANT: With the release of a new SMARTUNIFIER version, the previous major version (i.e. 1.9.x) will continue to be supported for an additional 6 months. After this period, the previous major version will reach End of Life (EOL) and will no longer be supported.

We recommend keeping SMARTUNIFIER environments on a currently supported release to benefit from the latest improvements, fixes, and capabilities.
