The 1.9.8 version introduces a series of enhancements, fixes, and refinements designed to improve usability, expand connectivity options, and give you greater control over your integration projects.

New Features & Enhancements

InfluxDB v1 Support
SMARTUNIFIER can now read from InfluxDB v1 databases, giving you more options for time-series data integration.

REST Client & Server Upgrades

  • Added support for new OAuth2 authentication types.
  • Support for “text” body types in both REST Client and Server.
  • REST Server can now use certificates stored directly in the Windows certificate store.
  • Additional configuration options for selecting HTTP versions.

Email Integration

  • Option to use outgoing servers without security, for environments where this is necessary.

Improved Backup & Restore

  • Backups can now be downloaded as ZIP files.
  • Select specific database entries to backup or restore.
  • No need to stop an endpoint before restoring.

UI & Workflow Improvements

  • Save mappings without compiling—speeding up configuration changes.
  • Visual distinction between complex and simple variables in the Model Editor.
  • Added confirmation prompts for artifact deletion and reindexing.

Database Enhancements

  • More granular connection settings for SQL databases (pool size, timeouts, etc.).

Logging Improvements

  • Enhanced logging for OPC-UA clients and MQTT layers.
  • Maximum log retention increased to 180 days.

Bug Fixes

Across the 1.9.8 versions, we’ve resolved multiple issues to ensure smoother operation:

  • Fixed problems with REST Client configuration when variables were named BODY, HEADER, PARAMETERS, or STATUSCODE.
  • Fixed database connections not being properly closed after disconnects.
  • Corrected deployment restoration issues.
